Volunteer

Volunteerism is essential to our success as a day labor center. Day Laborers, community residents, business people, ESL teachers, people willing to teach skills to workers. All together, our efforts have helped foster an inspiring effort seen by many as a model for communities throughout your country. Due strong relationships that develop that span cultures, languages and borders, many of our volunteers find their involvement in our project the high point of their week. Please consider joining our efforts. If you have the passion and the vision, we can use your help.

How can you volunteer?

• Teach English as a Second language, like Natalie Peck, Audrey Schell, Catherine Sagan, Bazil Dean and many of the high school and college students from Summerfield Waldorf School and Sonoma State University.
• Bring hard boiled eggs to the day labor breakfast each Saturday morning like Willow McEvoy.
• Work with the fund development committee like Martha Kowalick to help secure ongoing funds for our work.
• Develop and support this website like Victor and Carlos Heredia, and Myriam Scally
• Assist in the design and construction of our new day labor center, like Ernie Carpenter and Kate Achordoguy.
• Consider joining our board of directors.
